Who’s the Author?
Stephanie Lenox has wrestled with language ever since stealing a copy of Strunk & White’s The Elements of Style from her high school English class decades ago. In the years between, she’s worked in journalism, human resources, nonprofit communications, and academia, and she currently serves as an instructional editor for an educational press.
An author of several books of poetry and a creative writing textbook, Stephanie is an enrolled citizen of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi. She studies the language of her ancestors, applying the lessons she learns about the power of words to carry cultural meaning to her exploration of inclusive style.
